is it a fact that if i use the services of a re agent as opposed to just an re attorney, im still actually paying for the re attorney services somewhere in the final sale, or using a re agent cost me absolutely anything?

it is ABSOLUTELY NOT TRUE, re agents charge more for work that your attourney could do, and with a knowledge base that far surpasses the average agent, and attourneys have fiduciary duty whereas even though agents claim to have it, it isnt enforced and the contracts you sign actually create massive conflicts in interest between you and them

i dont even like the way you worded the question " services of a re agent" "just a re attorney" OMG have you got it backwards.

as for the "using an agent costs you nothing"

its a perfect example of what i am talking about. you will never get a bill, but i guarentee that their 3000-5000 commission on the sale will be rolled into your mortgage and you will pay 5% interest on it for the life of your 30 year loan.... i also can state athoratatively that sellers, especially builders and FSBO are very very aware of the discount they get if you shell out the 500 bucks to have an attourney instead of the commision model, in close to the bone transactions it gives you the negotiating leverage. also attourneys tend to do things "right" so there are fewer glitches like "this home didnt appraise but the sellers wont return my earnest money" etc.

RE attorney will work for a flat fee will take the time to review the offer and will provide legal guidance regarding offer. REA earn a commission and do put pressure on closing the sale without any regard to risks and issues that may araise. They are not very versed regarding legal issues. REA are former tupperware saleswomen anyway. If your drawing up a contract for a RE transaction valued at hundreds of thousands of dollars, an attorney would be a safer move.
