13th disability cont'd- previous landlords which we dearly care for..i even waxed the floor under the kitchen fridge when we moved out in 2007 to ohio (i didnt wasnt to move...but we have NEVER LIVED ALONE TOGETHER TO DEVOTE TO EACH OTHER & JUST ENJOY EACH OTHER...WE HAVE ALWAYS HAD!!!! HAD TO TAKE CARE OF EVERYONE ELSE.... his brother wouldnt take care of her..he would throw food in shut the door and leave her...literally like he feds his dog better and treats his dog better than he did mom or DAD ON CHRIS 'S SIDE....AND I'VE WENT THRU IT ALL & WE BOTH NEED T GET OUR OWN PLACE SO BADLY BEFORE WE DIE i WOULD LIKE TO LIVE HAPPILY WITH THE MAN i WANTE TO SPED HE REST OF MY LFE WITH..WE;VE ALREADY PROVED WE LOVE EACH OTHER LOOK WHAT WE'VE WENT THRU & NOTHING TO SHOW FOR IT BUT ACHY BONES AND ILLNESS BECAUSE WE TOOK CARE OF EVRYONE ELSEW PROBLEMS ..PLEAE HELP OR IF SOMEONE CAN HELP PLEAE LET US KNOW UCNA EMAIL ME-   teri937  at yahoo.com.. we could really use a break...if we could just get us a home tyhen we coud put her into an place that would do her good & also help us too please I'm not embarassed for puttingy life out here for anyone to read..i should be but we are to a point htat i cant live likethis anymore I just had surgery & had gllbladdr out & chris couldnt take care of me & his mom help please sincerel teresa justt put disabilty cont'd in subjectline hurting have to go thx final over

Ignore what they say and post the email in the thread if they get nasty. Shame is a powerful thing and nastiness should be drug into the light of day where nastiness shrivels. I really hope Zillow considers removing this person's email address from their post. I like helping people, but I have seen too many people in very difficult situations stand up and do what they could for themselves first before asking for help. I believe in helping people who help themselves and I also believe that helping people who just want is an insult to people who work hard everyday to improve their situations. I do not know what this poster's true situation is, but I do feel that they would be better served in their community by a charitable organization like St.Vincent de Paul than on Zillow.

Already "proved" they love each other?  I've seen no evidence of love, let alone any "proof".  So now you want a 10 minute lunch "break"?

Most people wax their kitchen floors, including under the appliances, at least once every few months, regardless if they own, rent, or other.

So you can't live like you've been living anymore?  Guess that means you plan on dying instead?  Or perhaps living in a cardboard box in Mexico?  Or perhaps living in a street gutter in Louisville and digging for food out of dumpsers?  Or are you volinteering to work in Culcutta?

"Both" need to get your own place to live?  I guess that means you prefer to be separate.  One can live under a freeway bridge at one end of town, and the other can live at the other end of town next to the railway tracks.

of course you would email me a private message attacking me, because you have found no pity here. If you did it here, you would be torn apart. I along with many other posters here have dealt with situations as bad or even worse than you. I and others, however, have chosen to suck it up, and do what we can to improve our lives. Your life isnt dictated to you by your circumstances, yet what you chose to do with those circumstances.
You obviously are cottled enough by our govt that you dont find a need to figure out what job you can do. Im sure there are many programs through the govt that would provide for your training and education to put you into a job that would work for you, but that would mean that you would have to give up some of that public assistance once you did make some money, and that govt. teat tastes so good. I truly am sorry for your position, but have no pity when you do nothing to help yourself and suck my tax dollars to live your pity party. Ive seen people in situtations worse than yours do there best, and do so without a penny of govt assistance, aside from medicare. 
   Suck it up and do your best. Im sure you can get by, youll just never own a ferrari. Then again, if you try and are motivated, there is nothing that would stop you from that ferrari, its just your motivation.

teri937, what do you want or need? Buying a home would be foolish given your situation so I am sorry, but I cannot help. You need a social worker not a mortgage. Life is not about owning things. At this point, you should focus on improving the quality of your life not the quality of the things you own.

I'm baffled why separate threads were started for just the same dialog...

It seems to make the discussion less effective rather than more compelling.

And really, there is no one here handing out handouts, so it appears that it is posted in the wrong forum entirely.  But it is very similar to several ramblings I heard presented at the City Council during "public comment not on the agenda".

And really, I wasn't able to count 13 independent "disabilities", nor did I see any question about how to find properties that were adapted to assist with these specific dissablities.

The Americans with Disabilities Act does not require accomidations for Single Family Residences, nor do adaptations have to comply with the standards and guidlines when they are made.  Thus, it is often easier to find rental units that have reasonable accomidations as they are often required for properties of 4 units or more.

Is this a request for money or advice?  consolidate your bills, go file bk if you cant consolidate, and buy in 7. Simple enough. We dont need the pity me sob story. Deal with what your life has dealt you and do your best. Im sure with the govt assistance you can figure something out. Not to mention, if you can type a 13 page post on zillow, you can do some computer work or something. Im sure you had a hard life, but you would be able to figure something out if the govt didnt give you money.
